AnaCapri Peterson-Waldvogel is a Junior at UW-Platteville studying Professional Writing with a minor in Creative Writing. She is an avid reader, cat lover, and arts and crafts enthusiast. She is excited to be working with the web design team, event planning team, and visual art team on this year's edition of the Spirit Lake Review.
Brooke Schindler

Brooke is a Junior at UW-Platteville. She is majoring in Professional writing with a minor in Marketing. In her free time she likes to spend time with her sorority: Theta Phi Alpha, and she loves to listen to podcasts. She is really excited to help contribute to this journal, ands looks forward to learning many new things along the way!
Hunter Sheffer

Hunter Sheffer is a Junior at UW-Platteville who is majoring in English Literature. He enjoys Reading, writing, spending time with his cats, and playing video games. He is excited to work with the web design and copy editing team for the 2024 Spirit Lake Review.
Isabelle Emerson
Promotional Materials Editor, Event Planner Manager
Isabelle Emerson is a Senior at UW-Platteville and is an English Education Major and Theatre major. She enjoys working in the theatre but in her free time she loves to read, write, take photos, and hike. While this is her first year on the team, she has her hand in a lot of the different teams and is very excited to get to work making this new edition.
Jack Braun

Jack Braun is a Junior at UW-Platteville, hailing from Mount Horeb, Wisconsin. He majors in English with a minor in creative writing. His hobbies include creative writing, mini painting, and being mistaken for his identical twin brother. He works with the submissions team and copyediting Team.
Justin Brayer

Justin is a Senior at UW-Platteville and is an English major with a professional writing emphasis and a minor in Creative Writing. He is originally from New Berlin, WI. Justin is an avid cinephile and also enjoys reading and playing video games in his spare time. This is his first year working on the Spirit Lake Review. 
Kevin Dunse
Submissions Manager, Copyediting Team
Kevin Dunse is from Reedsburg, Wisconsin, and is a Junior at UW-Platteville, Baraboo. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, trapping, and writing about his experiences. This is his second time working as submission manager for Spirit Lake Review
Luise Bimberg

Luise Bimberg is a first-year international student at UW-Platteville. Her major is English with a literature emphasis. In her free time, she enjoys reading and watching trashy television shows. She is very excited to work with the submissions and social media team for the Spirit Lake Review.
Madison Norton

Madison Norton is a Senior at UW-Platteville who is majoring in English Professional Writing. She enjoys hiking, skiing, reading, and snuggling with her cats. This is her first year working on the Spirit Lake Review, and she couldn’t be more excited.
Matty Olson

Matty Olson is a Senior at UW-Platteville majoring in English and Music. During her free time, she enjoys writing, singing, and playing the guitar. This is Matty’s first year working on the Spirit Lake Review.
Megan Fairve

Megan Faivre is a Sophomore at UW -Platteville Baraboo Sauk County and is majoring in Civil Engineering. She enjoys reading, writing, and different mediums of art. She also loves to be outside in the woods. This is her first year on the Spirit Lake Review team. She is excited to read and see all the new works submitted and see the creativity that people have to offer.
Nicole Krebs

Nicole Krebs is a Senior at UW-Plattville and pursuing a degree in English with a Professional Writing Emphasis and minors in both Psychology and Creative Writing. She loves to write just about anything but prefers creating detailed stories. Apart from this, she enjoys reading, playing video games, and spending time with animals. She is excited to be the Editor-In-Chief for Spirit Lake Review’s 2024 issue and learn more about what it takes to be in a leadership position.
Nicole Young

Nicole Young is a Senior at UW-Platteville pursuing a degree in professional writing. Originally from Richland Center, Nicole grew up in Fennimore, WI. She is usually found reading, writing, dancing, or cooking. She is excited to be a part of this year’s Spirit Lake Review team. 
Shelby Reeder
Launch Party Planning Team, Web Design Team
Shelby is currently a Senior at UW-Platteville. She is majoring in elementary education and will be student teaching in the fall. Shelby loves kids but also loves all forms of art as well. She enjoys being outdoors, reading, and painting. She currently works at a coffee shop, which doesn’t help her caffeine addiction.
Kara Candito
Faculty Advisor
Kara Candito is the author of Spectator (University of Utah Press, 2014), winner of the Agha Shahid Ali Poetry Prize, and Taste of Cherry (University of Nebraska Press, 2009), winner of the Prairie Schooner Book Prize in Poetry. Her work has been published in such journals as American Poetry Review, AGNI, The Kenyon Review, and Jubilat. She is the recipient of a Pushcart Prize, and scholarships and awards from the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference, Ragdale Foundation, the MacDowell Colony, and the Djerassi Resident Artists Program. Kara is an associate professor of English, Creative Writing on the UW-Platteville main campus.
Kelly Dwyer
Founder
Kelly Dwyer grew up in San Pedro, California, graduated from Oberlin College and the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, and has spent much of the last twenty or so years in Baraboo, Wisconsin, where she lives with her husband, Louis Wenzlow; their daughter Alice attends the University of Minnesota. Kelly has published two novels and is currently finishing her third, a psychological ghost story titled Ghost Mother. She taught at the University of Platteville, Baraboo/Sauk County for fifteen years, where she co-founded Spirit Lake Review, which began as a club in the cafeteria, and then became the vibrant class it is today. Kelly is currently teaching creative writing classes to adults online through the University of Iowa Summer Writing Festival, and working on her own writing. She is enjoying seeing the magazine flourish and loves keeping in touch with former students. www.KellyDwyerAuthor.com
